It only took me literally forever to upload this.
Definitely nailed the “chrome” bumper.

Re #1: I don’t see the problem here. It’s good enough for a $19m Bugatti.

I actually live the Range Rover “mod” sometimes new bigger rims look good from a styling perspective but for practical purposes they might be garbage. Good compromise and “personalization”.

What?!

that bumper is just baffling...
i mean... the grill already was chromed.... but still got some tape... and from what i can tell from the untaped bits the bumper was a perfectly servicable body colour.... how do you end up thinking all that tape is an improvement whilst apparently still being smart enough to get a drivers license and hold a job (i assume)

There’s a world of difference between the execution and intent behind the two.
Seriously, what's happened to you, fellow Oppos? Lol

Yes, exactly!

OMG. That last one is priceless. But I’d go a step further and use the wood as a body buck (shaped of course) to lay a wild looking fiberglass nose on the car.
A little disappointed he didn’t paint rally stripes on the (w)hood.

I have been thinking about the reverse idea.
This idea of mine would look like a small diameter wheel with a high profile wide white wall tire . But the white part would be a part of the wheel and the tire would be a modern low profile tire. Not silly wide tires but sensibly narrow and very low.
This would work with classic cars with modernized suspension (and large brakes) but still original appearance .

It was probably peeling/rusting. That generation of Durango rusted particularly badly. You hardly ever see them around here anymore , and when you do they’re missing lots of metal.

I think they're both horrible!

I have to admit, I don’t hate the wood front end.

I mean, don’t get me wrong, I realize that it is atrocious ... But I can’t not like it.
The oriented strand board hood is hacky. Should have used treated plywood.
